What is happiness?

    This is going to sound like a slogan. But I've been thinking about this a lot lately. And I think happiness, like "sexuality," is a ruse of modernity.

      I disagree. The concept of "happiness" has been sought by humans since the time of Aristotle and Seneca. They may have written about "eudamonia" instead of "happiness", but it's all the idea is the same.

      I do however agree that happiness is a ruse.

    In existentialist terms happiness has to be the equivalent of whistling while walking over a cliff, on the other hand since the alternative is panic, why not?
