"The Sixteen Principles of Authentic Human Existence"

1) Pain : I choose to value my pains.

2) Death : I choose to value my limitations.

3) Reflection : I am able to both live my life and reflect upon my life.

4) Self-Reliance : I am an adult consciousness who exists alone. I choose to be independent and self reliant.

5) Individuality : It is right and normal for me to seem different from other human beings.

6) Eternity : There exists a consciousness within me which I am, and which is eternal.

6A) Reverence : Each individual human inward subjectivity is the divine consciousness in mankind.

7) Freedom : I always choose because I am always free.

8) Life : My first and last choice is to say yes to life.

9) Commitment : I am free to make commitments.

9B) Reality : I clearly distinguish reality from fantasies, dreams rationalizations, and wishful thinking.

10) Love : As an adult I can choose to meet, confront, witness, understand and be mirrored by another.

11) Adaptability and Flexibility : I can choose myself as one who is realistically flexible.

12) Time & Futures : I experience time as living in a present which utilizes the past and connects directly and primarily into my future.

13) Growth & Self-Transcedence : My life is an endless process of growing, emerging, and reaching out.

14) Contradiction : The inescapable amibiguities, contradictions, and paradoxes of life are my powerful allies.

~ Please post a response if you know the author & origin of this work which I have just summarized here. ~ Marcus
